Bridge of buys – own a piece of Cold War history

As reported by Sky News Real Estate’s Prue Miller, the baroque-inspired villa was built in the 1920s and is situated within an UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Berlin Wall ran through the property’s grounds.

The home’s ground floor is centred around the Great Hall, which boasts a fireplace, oak staircase, rich wood panelling and an upper gallery with carved ceiling.
The home’s library has an antique stone fireplace, parquet flooring and an ornate ceiling, while the adjacent Blue Salon has silk wall coverings and a fireplace.

There’s also a music room, a formal dining room and a stunning kitchen with dark granite benchtops.
The master bedroom has impressive views of the landscaped gardens, while the private adjacent study offers views to the nearby lake and castles.
A guest wing offers several bedrooms, while the basement area has a large apartment for staff use.
